Vital BMX Power Hour: Paul Ryan in Rampworx

Rampworx local and Mongoose BMX Pro Paul Ryan came into the park last week. Paul had the guys at Vital BMX with him to shoot a Power Hour video. As the title suggests, they have 1 hour to do as many ticks as humanely possible in one location.

Rob and Big on street skating

Ok, so anyone who has every been for a street session knows that security guards HATE skateboards, bladers and BMX riders. It’s always a race against time to get the clip/trick you want on the spot before you get moved on.

Well Pro skateboarder Rob Dyrdek had enough of Security guards stopping him skating, especialy when filming for his DC section, so he hired a security guard to deal with security. Meet Big Black.

Anton McGuirk joins Colony!

Simple Session Course 2012

Simple Session is the biggest BMX comp in Europe. Every year the design one of the sickest skateparks to house this mammoth competition. This year designs definitely gets the thumbs up from Rampworx. This skatepark we be built inside an Arena in Estonia for the 2 day event.

Olympic athlete joins Rampworx Outreach project

Rampworx is currently working on a 4 week outreach

coaching project in Bebington, Wirral Bebington High Sports Colege.

Yesterday (14th March, 2012) Craig Heap, (pictured centre right) who is a retired Commonwealth Games Gold medal winning gymnast and has represented England over 100 times in various international gymnastic competitions, joined Rampworx for a little go of BMX, Skateboard, Scooter and Inline. Chris was visiting the school as part of the Living For Sport programme which is designed to inspire and motivate young people into sport and to talk about his experiences as an Olympian.

Chris, who is now a Sport England Ambassador has been the English and British champion as well as the captain on many occasions and has won 5 World and 5 European titles in his career

The Rampworx outreach project, which is funded by the Youth Opportunities Fun will run until the end of March and will work with over 200 young people of primary and secondary school age from the Bebington and surrounding areas. Read More

Elyts UK Scooter Tour at Rampworx 26th March

The Elyts team will be visiting Rampworx on March 26th. American Pro rider Zig Short will be in the building and so will his Sweedish team mate BenJ Friant! The Elyts team will be on the look out for a new UK team rider whilst at Rampworx. So get practicing those tricks as you could be walking away from the skatepark with a sponsor!
