ben lewis - fit frame available at Rampworx Liverpool

When Ben Lewis’s knee isn’t killing him he’s busy killing everything else. this local rider has paid his dues but isn’t going to shout about it which means you know when fit are giving him a signature frame you know he’s earned his reputation.

Check out the short edit on the frame and then check out the LFC (Liverpool Fit Club???) graphics on the headtube. A different frame to most that are out there and apparently you’ll still be able to ride it in europe.

Jojo Jacobi is the man! Winterclash Interview

By | Competition, Event, Inline | No Comments

Jojo is the main man behind the Winterclash for all these years. For 2010 he went full out and rented Berlin Arena to hold the biggest contest in Rollerblading. Obviously this comes at a cost, a big cost that may burden the future of the event. However the end product was quite simply amazing, thousands of people showed up from around to globe to watch some of the best pros in the world battle it out. The atmosphere was amazing, the skating was amazing, the party was amazing, the beer was amazing, the snow was…cold.

If you didn’t make this years contest keep your fingers crossed and make sure you get chance to visit the next one. Incase you ever see Jojo on your travels, be warned, he knows how to party. Check this photo out of him busting some serious shapes in Liverpool last year.

He is also quite a ladies man as you can see.

We are making a brand new series offering young UK residents the opportunity to train as front of house staff in the restaurant industry. The show will be fronted by a top restaurateur.

We will select 8 young people aged 17-30 to be filmed for the series. We are looking for candidates from across the UK, from a wide variety of backgrounds, who have yet to find their direction in life. We are looking for people who, we believe, have the potential, enthusiasm, character and skills to become top waiters. We are looking for people who are comfortable being filmed and who we think the audience will best relate to – so we will be taking lots of different qualities into account when we chose the final 8 trainees.

The final 8 trainees will receive 8 weeks’ intensive training as waiters and wine waiters with some of London’s finest front-of-house staff. The aim is to help them build the confidence and skills they need to secure a good job in the restaurant industry. We will film this process – at present the plans is to transmit the experience over 8 episodes on BBC2. Over the eight episodes the trainees will experience a wide variety of mentoring, real life experience and testing. Although there is no elimination, the intention is that at the end of the 8 weeks two trainees will be chosen by the top restaurateur to take up 6 month placements in major restaurants and hotels.
