Make It Happen: Trip 2, China

‘Make It Happen’ is a year long, global video project under the reigns of Greg Illingworth, filmer Will Evans and George Marshall. Make It Happen consists of a series of four trips with a selection of riders hand picked for each journey, culminating in the release of a full video at the end of the year. The progress can be seen in the pages of The Albion throughout the year and by the release of a trailer video and photo gallery after each trip.

For the second instalment, we ventured to the vast cities of China, starting in Hong Kong and heading into the mainland by train. The trip provided the backdrop for Josh Harrington’s interview, which can be found in The Albion Issue 15.

The guys over at Deathgrip have just released this amazing video of professional BMX rider Josh Harrington. This video gives you a great insight into what it is like being a Pro rider traveling the world on a weekly bases competing in contests. If you watch one video today make sure its this one.

In this short film documenting Oakley’s Josh Harrington on a trip to the seemingly cold and desolate northern european state of Estonia for the Simpel Session contest, we experience in his own words the solidarity of self-awareness of traveling to a foreign country, unable to adjust to your surroundings while still having to focus on putting himself in the mindset of riding in front of thousands of people on a BMX bike.
