Colony in the UK Tour visits Rampworx

The BMX brand is getting its impressive roaster of riders together to hit up some of the UK’s trademark spots, including the UK’s biggest skatepark Rampworx! On Monday 3rd September the team consiting of Liam Vance, Anton McGuirk, Ryan Gettler, Chris Courtnay, Cooper Brownlee, Clint Milar and Sam Davies-Bate will be shreading the park form 5-10pm in an exclusive BMX ONLY SESSION! OPM play The Picket and meet and greet fans at Rampworx!

OPM Heaven is a Halfpipe

OPM, best known for their classic anthem ‘Heaven is a Halfpipe’, are a Southern California based ska punk band. The legendary band perform at the city’s finest music venue, The Picket, on Sunday 9th September and expect to hear their distinctive mash up of a sound with aspects of hip hop, rock music, and pop with laid-back reggae.

It’s no coincidence that their comeback to the UK coincides with our resurgence of the skating scene, and Liverpool is one of the most prevalent cities for this. Rampworx boasts the largest indoor skate park in the UK and they’ve partnered with Little Panther to present a meet and greet with OPM on Sunday 9th September 2012 around 1/2pm. Just bring along your gig ticket and meet the band, skate with them and hang out in the city’s hidden skate gem!

FREE BMX Coaching Halfords Skills Session

We’ve teamed up with the guys at Halfords and MOBO award-winning artist Tinchy Stryder to launch the Halfords BMX Sessions. A FREE summer BMX Coaching workshop will be taking place at Rampworx on August 30th the event will fuse local music talent and BMX coaching for children aged 9-14.

Encouraging kids aged 9-14 years old to take to the ramps and learn basic BMX skills this summer we are hosting FREE skills workshops at Rampworx on August 30th  during the summer holidays. All equipment is provided!

Halfords BMX Coaching Sessions sessions have been designed for groups of 14 to build confidence in cycling and teach basic BMX skills. The sessions will include; checking the bike is safe for daily riding; carving and turning both ways; riding and pumping over driveways and obstacles; dropping in down roll ins and quarters and jumping the bike and exiting quarter pipes / bowls.

Each session featuring live performances from local music artists and demos from Pro Radio BMX riders. Every participant will receive a Halfords goody bag.

Rampworx MADD Gear Scooter/BMX Session – July 2012

Rampworx Skatepark partnered up with our friends at MADD Gear to bring you another epic Scooter Session! With over 700 kids in attendance to see the MGP Scooter and BMX team shred the park it was a crazy day.

The MGP team was in force with Pro Scooter riders Terry Price, Dan Avery, Perry Grant and Sam Everett in attendance along side there new BMX Pro team rider Brock Horneman.

Rampworx Shop Wallasey

On Tuesday 24th July 2012 we will be opening our third retail shop! The shop is based on the highstreet in Wallasey Village, Wirral (just off the roundabout by St Marys College). To celebrate us launching this new shop the MADD Gear Team will be doing a shop signing from 4-6pm.

The shop will stock a full range of BMX, Skateboards, Inline Skates and Stunt Scooters along with a bunch of accessories and clothing for all of the sports.

Doors open 10am-6pm.

DUB BMX Street Series

Our friends over at DUB BMX have teamed up with Monster Energy to bring you the DUB Street Series! The first stop is of course going down in DUB‘s back yard, Liverpool! The meet up spot  will be The Tunnel Banks at 1pm (Photo/Address Below), from there we will hit some other sick spots throughout the day finishing up around 6pm.

At the final spot we will be doing a prize giving as below for 1st to 3rd.

A big thanks to Federal Bikes and Seventies who have kindly donated sick prize packs for not only 1st to 3rd but also a load of Loot to chuck out for everyone who made it along. Be sure not to miss this!!!

Simple Session Course 2012
