Rampworx Spotlight: Gary Davies & Ste Meila

We invited 2 of our local skateboarders to the skatepark for a private session.

Gary Davies is one of the sickest skateboarders in the UK. Not many people have heard of Gary as he shuns the limelight, but this guy has some serious, serious tricks! Did we mention he has also helped build and design most of your favourite ramps in the park?

We decided to double up for this edit and profile one of our promising local riders Ste Meila who also has a draw full of tricks. Just check out what this guy can pull off, click play!

Nokia Push N8 – SKATE Graffiti

The Nokia Push project is a celebration of ingenuity and open technology, showcasing the creativity of people and the power of Nokia devices.

Push Skating takes the world of skate games away from the games console and back to the streets by allowing skaters’ boards to communicate with their Nokia N8 to score every single little move they make.

We challenged the Push community to showcase the Push Skating prototype in the most creative film treatments possible.

Now see how the SKATE Graffiti team demonstrate the Push Skating prototype with skaters battling against each other. Each time they beat the other skater’s trick, the obstacle changes colour with their friends following the action from their living room through the skaters pushing their tricks to their social networks.

Lil Wayne Skateboarding at Skatepark of Tampa

Who would of guessed that one of our favourite rappers Lil Wayne has a secret talent, skateboarding! Weezy and his crew get to grips with the skatepark of Tampa at a private 3am session, Wayne and his friends learn to drop in the ramps and flow in the skatepark. Watching this video reminds us of the early days when you visit your first skatepark and want to drop in everything with your friends, good times.

Rampworx Summer Clinic 2011

This summer Rampworx is proud to announce yet another summer clinic for young people from the Sefton area only. Each year we try and get young people involved in the sports that we cater for (Inline, BMX and Skateboard) especially those who have never tried the sport, or are just getting into it. As all equipment and coaching is provided the only thing you need to do is turn up…. on time!!!

The clinic will run from the 16th August to the 25th over 6 half days between 10 and 12pm. The best thing is that its all free, so all you have to do is sign up using our online form. Be quick though as places are limited and the closing date for registration is Friday 12th August.

Rampworx Spotlight: Peter Goulden & Johnny Oats
