Pop Punk band Liar Liar have just released their next single “Time to Grow”. Liar Liar originally from Yorkshire consists of 5 band members Joe Daniels (Vocals), Liam Bates (Bass/Vocals), Billy Gaskell (Guitar/Vocals), Jake Lawton (Guitar), Fraser Mulholland (Drums).
The the video for this track was filmed at the UK’s biggest indoor skatepark, Rampworx!
Liar Liar are a great up and coming band in the UK and will be filming their next video at our skatepark on Monday 2nd December between 9-5pm. They need as many extras as they can get for this video on Skateboards and BMX’s.
So if you fancy some FREE ride time in the biggest skatepark in the UK for those few hours and your chance of being in a music video, make sure you get down to the skatepark!
After much anticipation and hype the man himself Kurt Yarger visited the skatepark last night as part of his UK tour. A bunch of Kurt’s fans came down to the skatepark to hang out and ride with the Hollywood superstar.
Kurt is most famous for his appearance in the Rudimental music video “Waiting all night”, which shows people the mammoth challenges he had to overcome loosing his leg and having to learn to ride his BMX again. Kurt’s story went viral and the video racked up an amazing 40 million downloads! He has also appeared in several huge Television series such as “Sons of Anarchy”.
Whilst Kurt Yaeger was at the skatepark he wanted to check out our brand new Extension Project being built onto our existing skatepark. Unfortunately the new skatepark is still under development so he didn’t have chance to ride it. However Kurt got to meet another American whilst at Rampworx, John Saxton! We flew in John form the states to help us build our new skatepark he was built skateparks with everyone from Woodward to the XGames, so these guys had lots to talk about. Including our copy of the China Banks that will be in the new park.
Kurt is one of the most inspiring people you could hope to meet. He has an amazing story and is living proof that nothing is impossible. Whilst at Rampworx Kurt also showed the locals that he still has plenty of tricks up his sleeve and busted out some big airs on one of the biggest ramps in the skatepark!
It was a pleasure to have Kurt visit the skatepark and hopefully it was not the last time we will see the American superstar on our ramps!
Local band Triphazard has just released there latest music video which was filmed on location at Rampworx Skatepark. Check it out and see if you can spot the shots from the skatepark.
Award winning director Dan Sully (Zane Lowe, Nike, Elbow, Maccabees) and a production team working on behalf of Sony Music to film the new Miles Kane song ‘Don’t Forget Who You Are’ visited Rampworx last month to film some scenes from the video which has received over 266,000 views on Youtube already!
The team worked very closely with one of our members of staff on sourcing unique venues in the city and the brilliant cast of local people, including our very own local BMX rider George Clarke (18), stunt motorbike rider Stuart Sinclair, scooter rider & Nike-sponsored free-runner Morgan Tsang and a group of very talented samba dancers who danced, in the cold, along Leckwith Road outside our skate park!
Local 18 year old musician and aspiring video director, Jamie Lindberg, got the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work closely with the award winning team – spending a full three days working an exhausting, yet exciting, 12 hour schedule each day running around with the team and gaining some excellent experience working on a Sony Music production!! Jamie will be working closely with the skate park and have a big involvement in the music direction of our park; including transforming Upstairs @ Rampworx.
Our friends at Airborn Academy were a prominent part of the video, which featured Airborn members playing football on abandoned streets in Bootle and Morgan Tsang doing back flips off street furniture!!
Local rider and Airborn Academy ambassador, George Clarke, is shown in the video doing a flip in our new extension which will be developed with John Saxton very soon!!
The video has been an overwhelming success, currently listed as Radio One’s sound of the week and receiving fantastic reviews from both local and national media Miles’ ‘homecoming’ gig in association with Jack Daniels’ JD Roots live music initiative took place on Thursday night at local venue Zanzibar, where Miles played his first local gig in a while to a packed-out room of audience members who received exclusive tickets via the JD Roots website and Facebook page.
We had a lot of fun working on it with the incredibly talented team and look forward to working with them again in the future!! Read More
